The excursion expects the visit of two beautiful cities: Palermo and Monreale. In Palermo, will take place the visit of the Cathedral (built in Arabic and Norman style) and the Norman Palace (location of the Sicilian Parliament). Along Vittorio Emanuele Street you can see beautiful baroque palaces and churches. Monreale is known for the Arabic – Norman Cathedral rich of golden mosaics showing episodes of the Old and New Testament.

Visit of Selinunte, the famous “dead city” and the biggest archeological site in Europe where you can find important antiquities belonging to the Greek period and culture. The visit continues to the “Cave di Cusa”, quarries from which were extracted stones for the building the temples of Selinunte.

Erice ,in province of Trapani, is located on the top of Mount Erice. It is a little medieval city with many medieval castle of the Norman period. Free time for a walk and for shopping.

Departing from the port of San Leone, during this excursion you will see the magnificent coast of Agrigento including also the beautiful Stair of the Turks. Stops for bathing and snorkeling are expected. Lunch on board.

Visit of Agrigento and in particular of the magnificent Greek Valley of Temples. The area was included in the UNESCO Heritage Site list in 1997 and includes remains of seven temples, all in Doric style. The Stair of the Turks is a rocky cliff on the coast of Realmonte, near Porto Empedocle, in the southern part of Sicily. It has become a tourist attraction due to its unusual white color and beautiful waters.

Visit of Caltagirone, the most important pottery center in Sicily. The city, in province of Catania in 1693 was destroyed by a terrific earthquake and then rebuilded at the beginning of the XVIII century in Baroque style. During the excursion the Cathedral, the famous staircase of Santa Maria del Monte, and the Museum of Pottery will be visited. The excursion continues to Piazza Armerina with the visit of the famous Villa Romana del Casale with its 62 rooms full of mosaics.

On board of a typical Sicilian fishing boat you have the chance to sail for a dive in the most beautiful spots of the Mediterranean Sea water. Leaving from Marzamemi you will reach Portopalo and Vendicari. During the excursion, a refreshment of fresh fruit and bruschetta will be offered.

The Oasi Faunistica of Vendicari, in the territory of Noto, is a natural paradise. The five-kilometer itinerary will stun the visitor with marvelous beaches, rocky coastlines overlooking the sea, a 15th century fortified tower and the old tuna-processing factory that had been recently restored. Moreover, this area is a favorite rest stop for the migratory birds that head towards northern Europe. Some species such as grey herons, black and white storks and flamingoes, nest in these places and find their perfect natural habitat. The reserve is provided with observation huts located along the marshes.

Visit of the fishermen village developed around its Tonnara; the fisherman houses and the little church finding in the main square of the village, constitute an unique landscape for spending a pleasant afternoon between bars, restaurants and boutiques. Then, there will be the visit of the greatest wine cellar of the province of Siracusa. During the visit will also take place a tasting of local wines and other products.
